An Introduction to the Firm

Climate and Environmental Security, LLC (CES) was chartered in July 2021, as a Colorado (USA) limited liability company to provide a platform for research, education, and consulting on science-based policies for climate and environmental security. Our focus is on issues of national and regional governance in the Indo-Pacific region.

CES projects work: 

• to better understand the emergent phenomena of climate and environmental change and their security impacts on the people and nations of the Indo-Pacific region,
• to better understand the complex challenges to governance of managing those security impacts,
• to advise policy makers and stakeholders on best practices and innovative approaches to better manage climate and environmental security,
• to educate security professionals and other stakeholders on topics related to climate and environmental security.

CES works for U.S. and international clients and sponsors under a variety of vehicles including research grants, cost or fixed-fee contracts, and consulting agreements. We are able to recruit and manage research and project teams of national and international experts and organizations, tailored to the problem at hand.

Dr. Scott Hauger, Principal and CEO of the firm, brings to the position more than 45 years’ experience in program and enterprise management in government, academia, NGOs and the private sector.

We are looking for new opportunities for research, consulting, and collaboration with U.S. and international partners to address the problems of climate and environmental security.
